Born on June 8, 1955 Timothy Berners-Lee graduated from the University of Oxford. He Designed computer software for two years at Plessey Telecommunications Ltd Software engineering consultant at CERN (a European particle lab). Berners-Lee is 68 years old and he built his first computer with a soldering iron, TTL gates, an M6800 processor, and an old television, at the age of 34. His major contribution was that he invented the World Wide Web to share information from scientists to universities worldwide.He also wrote the book "Weaving the Web" with Mark Fischetti, which talked about the past, present, and future, of the internet. Tim is also a member of The Public Sector Transparency Board to make sure the people are well informed and get accurate data. Timothy Berners-Lee truly put us a very big leap ahead in computer science.
